This month's blog is
Why Time Management Skills Are Essential for Students
.
How many responsibilities do students have throughout the day?
First of all, they should attend classes and pay attention to the
teacher's instructions. After school, they deal with homework
assignments. The teacher also recommends them to do some reading
and learning beyond the coursework material. Parents also want to
inspire students to watch documentary shows, read something useful,
and develop their logical thinking skills through various
activities.
When does the student find time for all this?
If you look around the classroom, you'll realize that some students
are more effective than others when it comes to completing several
tasks throughout a day. What are they doing differently? In most
cases, their time management skills make the difference.

Tech Tip #1: Smartphone Astrophotography: How I photograph the Moon & planets with my phone
The quality of today's smartphone cameras makes it possible to take
very respectable images of the Moon and planets through a telescope
with your phone - but it takes some work.
While the end results may not match those taken with dedicated
astronomical CMOS or CCD cameras, smartphone astrophotography can be
a good starting point for budding astrophotographers. It can also be
a useful alternative for experienced astronomers who wish to capture
an image quickly with little equipment.

Tech Tip #2: 40$ USB Super Telescope, Easy to Make, Sees Craters on the Moon
You can easily turn an old telephoto lens and a webcam into a
powerfull telescope that is capable of seeing craters on the moon.
Next to the webcam and telephoto lens all you need are some
standard pvc plumbing materials (pipes, diameter adapters and
endcaps).

Tech Tip #3: Time and Date of Satellite Maps
One of the wonders of the Modern World is Google Maps and other online
mapping services. At your fingertips, with your computer or you phone,
you can instantly see a map of anywhere in the world, and find
directions to your favorite coffee shop or pizzeria. A common question
that arises in these explorations is, "when was this picture taken?"
As it turns out, you can answer that question -- this Instructable
shows you how. This activity is suitable for high school science
students who have a knowledge of geometry and trigonometry; in the
college setting, it is suitable for intro physics or astronomy
students.
