Word List 6

1. citizen: a legal member of a country
2. right: a permission that is guaranteed by the law
3. flag: a piece of cloth with a design that is a state or country symbol
4. responsible: to think and act in a manner that is dependable

Monday Activities

1. Write the words and definitions in your vocabulary notebook.
2. Create your own sentence using each word and write this in your vocabulary notebook. We have provided samples below to get you started.

Use the daily activities to help you remember words that you learn each week. It is much easier to remember what the words mean if you do something with them and use them frequently in talking with your parents, family and friends.

Sample sentences:

He is a citizen of the United States
He was born in Europe but became a citizen of the United States.

American citizens have the right to speak their opinions.
A criminal has his rights taken away because he broke the law.

The American Flag has stars and stripes.
Each country has their own flag.

We should be responsible for our behavior
