Word List 3
- implied: understood without being openly or direct
- propaganda: promotion of particular idea to persuade people to think a certain way
- justify: to give a reason for an action
- bias: a judgement formed before the facts are known
- immigrant: a person who moves to another country to live
- exploit: take advantage of
- diversity: differences among people in race and/or religion
Tuesday Activities
- Make Flashcards - Write the word on one side of an index card and put the definition and a sentence on the opposite side You can find ideas for making flashcards on the Internet by clicking on the link
- Connectives - Click on the link and type in your vocabulary words and their definitions in the three columns. Your definitions will be typed in column 2 and continue in column 3. Print out the sheet and cut it into the individual blocks. Keep the pieces in a ziploc bag and try to put the connectors together during your travel time or free time at home.
- Motivator: Create your own motivational poster to help keep you motivated! Add some motivational text about learning vocabulary words.

Use the daily activities to help you remember words that you learn each week. It is much easier to remember what the words mean if you do something with them and use them frequently in talking with your parents, family and friends.
