  2. National Library of Virtual Manipulative - Interactive Math from Utah State University. Activities are interactive and are listed by standards: Number and Operations, Algebra, Geometry, Measurement, and Data Analysis and Probability. (Pre-K - 12)
  3. Houghton Mifflin Mathematics - Test Prep Practice and Test Taking Strategies for grades 1-6
  4. VA SOL Assistance in Math - from Poquoson Elementary School -A great site with many links to study various concepts on math; grades 3-5
  5. Create a Graph - Use this NCES site to practice creating bar, area, line, xy, or pie charts. Charts change as each new bit of data is added.
  6. Data Picking - Interview each student to collect data and then use that data to produce a chart or graph.
  7. Fraction help from EdHelper.com offers a wide range of fraction worksheets. Each time you request a worksheet an entirely new set of problems is generated.
  8. Fraction Practice - Many interactive games. Also general practice for 5th grade math skills.
  9. Graphing Skills - What's the Point asks students to practice using the x- and y- axis of a grid. Three levels of difficulty are possible. Coordinates are given and students must click on the correct point on the grid.
  10. Harcourt School Publishers has links to each of the grade levels from K-8. At that site you will find a variety of activities tied to chapters from their textbooks. You might prefer to go to their E-Lab index. There you will find 28 interactive activities for each of the grades from 3-8.

  14. Mock Math Tests - (Grades 3-5) Practice tests which are automatically generated and graded online. The tests cover Number concepts, Fractions, Measurement, Time concepts, Geometry, Statistics, Graphs and Charts

  16. Place Value Practice and Rounding Numbers - [this link opens on a new page] Funbrain offers an interactive game to reinforce rounding and place value skills. Funbrain will show a number. Students click on the digit in the number whose position is shown, or correctly type in the rounded version of the number.
  17. SOL Math Practice - Grade 4 and 5; many links to practice math concepts

  19. Texas TAAS Attack Worksheets - Texas "TAAS Attack" Daily Upkeeps are great as a last attempt to re teach before the TAAS test. Grades 2,3,4,5.(this site may be blocked by some filters.)
  20. Train Race - Use this BBC site to compare mean, median and range. After working with the Train Race, go take a test on mean, median, mode and range.
  21. Virginia Department of Education - Practice tests in Math for grades 3, 5, and 8. Can be used for whole class lessons. Scored online.
  22. Water Park - [this link opens on a new page] Solve math problems about Water Park and you will win tickets to the park! (Uh ... not really, but you do get some good practice solving word problems.)
