  5. In 1904, the first Buddhist temple in the United States is formed in Los Angeles, California.
  6. In 1932, in the midst of the Great Depression, President Hoover cuts his salary by 15%.
  7. In 1937, Germany open Buchenwald Concentration Camp.
  8. In 1961, Spain accepts equal rights for both men and women.
  9. In 1971, President Nixon announces that he will visit the People's Republic of China.
  10. In 1996, the joint venture of MSNBC is announced by Microsoft and NBC.
