Why Teachers & Parents Use Internet4Classrooms
Internet 4 Classrooms was originally created as a teacher driven site. Since 2000, we have been searching the internet and gathering free educational content, organizing it by subject, topic and grade level to help teachers quickly find resources for their classroom needs. Parents go to our site to find homework help and to research educational topics to better reinforce their child's learning needs. We are a 'one-stop' browsing place for teachers and parents to provide resources and help incorporate technology into learning. As the number of internet sites exponentially grows, teachers count on us as a reliable filter so that they can quickly get to websites that will reinforce their lessons with students or help them in their lesson planning.
As educators ourselves, we did not have a lot of time to spend during the school day looking over the internet to find specific sites to incorporate in our lessons, so we started linking sites together in a central place for everyone to share what we have found. Teacher input helped us grow and is still the backbone of our site. We listen very carefully to your needs and have designed the site taking a number of these requests to heart. The site was made for teachers, by teachers. We also answer email from teachers, parents and students from all over the world to help assist with their individual needs, so do not hesitate to ask for something that you cannot find.
Over the years, we have found a large variety of educationally relevant information and work diligently to share our resources. Word of mouth has been our best friend. All of our resources can be found on our website and we constantly update the site to add the newest resources and technologies across our subject areas. We also share our information via a newsletter and a variety of social media channels, such as Facebook and Twitter.
Why is it free?
Internet 4 Classrooms was founded by former classroom teachers who dedicated the site to providing free educational resources for teachers and their students. For years, they both spent our own money on things for students; school supplies, socks, mittens, even underwear. Rather than asking teachers to spend their own limited resources buying subscriptions for services that can be found free elsewhere, Internet 4 Classrooms searches the web to find those things that are quality resources at no cost. We also have created many on-line software tutorials for commonly used applications. Our mission is simple: teachers, parents, nor students should not spend their money on products that we can provide access to for free.
